Last works by Laura Carraro at GAeM exhibition in Ravenna
We’re proud to be part of International prize GAeM exhibition at Biblioteca Classense in Ravenna, curated by Linda Kniffitz and Daniele Torcellini, from 8 October to 26 November 2017, during the fifth edition of Ravenna Mosaico, biennial of contemporary mosaic.

Grand Tour is a collection of travel books and artist books: the artist express herself using her natural language, impressing on paper the feelings of different cities (here, thoise of her origin: Venice and its lagoon).
Micromosaic was used in Grand Tour times as first souvenirs, during XVII – XIX centuries. I wanted to use the same meanings in a personal and contemporary edition.
Venice is colour, rhythm, surface. Its natural environment was made of the only elements of water and air, absolute surfaces of colour: not geometrically ordered, not prospectically explicable. From the words of Sergio Bettini, “Venezia”, 1953.
